| Contact: Ben Rose 609.846.2657 brose@wildwoodsnj.com Mummers String Band Saturday and Strutters Contest Parades into the Wildwoods September 12 The day's FREE festivities will feature the top nine prize winners from the 2009 Philadelphia New Year's Day Mummers Parade strutting through the streets of North Wildwood The Wildwoods, NJ - The Mummers String Band Saturday and Strutters Contest will be strutting their way down Olde New Jersey avenue in North Wildwood on Saturday, September 12th brining the exhilaration and awe of a variety of different String Bands. If you have never seen the Mummers before you are in for an afternoon of pure enjoyment, the spectators can get an up-close view of the breathtaking costumes and intricate dance steps. The excitement starts at 4 p.m. with the Mummers Strutters Contest where anyone can join in on the fun. Let the Mummers show you a step or two beforehand and then you can show off your strut. The fun continues at 4:45 with the String Bands parading down Olde New Jersey Avenue. Don't miss the award-winning Fralinger String Band as they reenact their famous New Year's Day routine without the pressure of competition and of course minus the cold weather.
