The 16th Annual Boardwalk Classic Car Show Returns to the Wildwoods


The Wildwoods - New Jersey ThunderMotorSports Inc. will host the 16th Annual Boardwalk Classic Car Show, Thursday, September 24th through Sunday, September 27th. This four-day island-wide event features an incredible collection of completely restored classic cars on display on the world-famous Wildwoods Boardwalk from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. daily. The event will also be filled with lots of fun activities from beginning to end that is sure to entertain the car lover in all of us.

Spectators will have the opportunity to go back in time and experience the craftsmanship and extraordinary design of these Classic Cars as they are displayed on one of the "Top 10 Boardwalks in America." And at 3:00 p.m. daily, don't miss the classic cars parade down the Boardwalk to Atlantic Avenue and Atlantic Avenue south to Sunset Lake in Wildwood Crest. Registration for classic car owners will be held at the Imperial 500 Motel located at Forget-Me-Not and Atlantic Avenues, Wildwood Crest.

The excitement starts for participants registered for the show on Thursday evening from 6:30-9:30 p.m. with the 1st Annual Classic Car Street Festival, featuring the live entertainment by the Funseekers Band, plus plenty of food & trophies. Trophies will be awarded to the Best Original and Best Rod. Best of Show Plaques will be awarded to the Best Engine, Best Interior, and Best Paint. Judging will start at 8:30 p.m. and the results will be announced at 9:00 p.m. Parking on Sweet Briar, Wisteria, and Columbine Roads will be blocked off for the car show participants to showcase their cars so they may be judged.

The fun continues on Friday evening with a Poker Run from 5:00-7:00 p.m. where the Best Hand wins $100 cash and lots of prizes. The Poker Run is an ideal way to take in the sights and sounds of the Wildwoods while trying your hand at winning great prizes. There will be Live Entertainment from 7:00-9:30 p.m. at Forget-Me-Not and Ocean Avenues in Wildwood Crest, featuring "The Exceptions," playing Motown's popular classics from the 50's & 60's.

And on Saturday evening be sure not to miss the "Winner's Circle" event which will take place in front of the Wildwoods Convention Center from 6:00 -8:00 p.m. The "Winner's Circle" will include the Top 40 Winners, Top Gun, Ladies' Choice, Best Interior, Best Paint, Most Likely to Get Pulled Over, Club Participation Award and Best Engine Winners as they all line up to select the "Best in Show". The "Best in Show," will be awarded $500 and a trophy to the car that takes the show's honors.

The night doesn't stop there, a new awards ceremony has been added to this year's extravaganza, from 8:30-10:00 p.m. inside of the Wildwoods Convention Center where trophies will be handed out and drawings held for participants to win cash prizes of $150, $250 and $500.

Additionally, in conjunction with the Classic Car Show there will be the exciting Wildwoods Boardwalk Classic Car Auction hosted by nationally renowned auction team of Scott and Michael Adcock taking place inside the Wildwoods Convention Center's Oceanfront Arena, September 24th-26th featuring hundreds of the most unique classic cars available anywhere.
