The Results are in for the 16th Annual Boardwalk Classic Car Show


The Wildwoods - October 2, 2009 - The 16th Annual Classic Car Show brought thousands of car enthusiasts to the world-famous Wildwoods Boardwalk to revel in the incredible collection of completely restored classic cars on display during the four-day, island-wide event. The weekend as well as the cars have come and gone but the winners get to leave with their car and a trophy to signify the dedication and passion it takes to own one of these stunning cars.

Trophies were awarded to the Best Original and Best Rod. Best of Show Plaques were awarded to the Best Engine, Best Interior, and Best Paint. Additionally, the "Winner's Circle" event that took place Saturday evening at the Wildwoods Convention Center awarded the Top 40 Winners of the show. The show's top honor "Best in Show" went to a 1957 Olds 98 Starfire owned by Daryl Matthews from Pennsylvania. The "Best in Show" honor was selected from the winners of seven categories; Top Gun, Ladies' Choice, Best Interior, Best Paint, Most Likely to Get Pulled Over, Club Participation Award and Best Engine.

About the Greater Wildwoods Tourism Improvement and Development Authority

The Greater Wildwoods Tourism Improvement and Development Authority (GWTIDA) was formed in 1993 to consolidate the tourism economy of its three founding municipalities: Wildwood, Wildwood Crest and North Wildwood.
