The Wildwoods on DVD: Bring the Fun Home with Two New Feature Films
The Wildwoods, NJ – As the cold weather sets in, some of us quickly long for the warm waves, beaches and boardwalk enjoyed by millions every summer in the Wildwoods.

Fans of the Wildwoods can now bring all that warm-weather fun indoors to their living rooms with the two new feature films that make the Wildwoods their focus: “Boardwalk II: Back to Wildwood” and “Mibsters: A Marble Story.”

This sequel to 2004’s “Boardwalk: ‘Welcome to Wildwood by the Sea’” seen by millions on PBS, “Boardwalk II: Back to Wildwood” is a follow up love story about a shore destination, iconic two-mile stretch of amusements, great food, merchandise, music and fun, and its dedicated summer visitors. The documentary was shot during the summer of 2012 – the city of Wildwood’s centennial – by Boca Cape Films, and is narrated by John Ingram. Ingram, a self-proclaimed “boardwalk rat,” describes the Wildwoods as “a hall of memory and the human heart” and “ever-changing, yet eternally the same.”

“Mibsters: A Marble Story” – which debuted at Pittsburgh, PA’s Heinz History Center – is a documentary that follows the journey of three boys from Pittsburgh in their mission to win the National Marbles Championship, which has taken place in the Wildwoods for 90 years. The week long tournament of 2011 – its 88th year – is featured in this film. During an age where video games rule the minds of the youth, this film ventures to show that the game of marbles is still very much alive.

Bring the Wildwoods home and revisit the memories of those Wildwood days all year long with “Boardwalk II: Back to Wildwood.” The DVD is $20 and can be purchased at various Wildwood locations including the Wildwood Historical Museum, the Hereford Inlet Lighthouse and the Tom Cat Diner, as well as online at www.exitfourb.com and www.bocafilms.com, or call 609-465-9968 to order.
