Beach Patrols in the Wildwoods Announce Late-Season Coverage

The Wildwoods, NJ – September 3, 2020 – Beach patrols in the Wildwoods have announced their late-season lifeguard coverage schedule. All beach patrols strongly advise beachgoers to swim at lifeguard protected beaches only during the hours of operation. Red flags indicate where no swimming is permitted.

In Wildwood – Wildwood beaches will be open and protected by lifeguards, weather permitting, through Sunday, September 13 during the hours of 10 a.m. through 5:30 p.m.
Beach taxis will continue to run until September 13.

In Wildwood Crest – Wildwood Crest beaches will be open and protected by lifeguards, weather permitting, from 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. through Monday, Sept. 7 (Labor Day), and on the weekend following Labor Day (Saturday and Sunday, Sept. 12-13).
Due to limited available staff, 10 beaches will be protected by lifeguards from Tuesday, Sept. 8, through Friday, Sept. 11. Those beaches include Buttercup-Lavender, Aster, Wisteria, Fern, Primrose, Stockton-Stanton, Louisville-Miami, Denver-Syracuse, Pittsburgh-Charleston and Washington-Jefferson. Full lifeguard coverage for the 2020 season will conclude on Sunday, Sept. 13.
A response team will be available for emergency calls on the weekends of Sept. 19-20 and Sept. 26-27. Transport service for the handicapped will be available from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. daily through Sunday, Sept. 13.

In North Wildwood – North Wildwood beaches will be open and protected by life guards, weather permitting, through September 20, with limited coverage.
Hours will be 10am-5pm daily. On September 25, 26 & 27 there will be a response team available at the NWBP headquarters for emergencies.
