The Wildwoods, NJ – November 21, 2023 – Join the Wildwood Police Department and the Lunch with Lynch Foundation as they take on the annual GrYnch with their ‘Pinch the GrYnch’ Boardwalk 5K Run and 1-Mile Walk on Saturday, December 9 (rain or shine) starting at 10 a.m. Participants are encouraged to dress in festive holiday outfits for the race.
All proceeds from this event will benefit the ‘Lynch Who Stole Christmas from the GrYnch’ Toy, Coat, and Food Card Drive. The Lunch with Lynch Foundation has brought the joy of Christmas morning to over 9,571 kids local to the Wildwoods community for the past 12 years. Now in its 13th year, this event is just one of many to help raise money for gifts for local children in need.
The cause truly benefits the community directly. As the Lynch Toy Drive website states, “Rest assured that every toy, and every donation stays in the Wildwoods and the southern tip of Cape May County – This Toy Drive is for LOCALS by LOCALS!”
The race will start on the Boardwalk, directly in front of the Wildwoods Convention Center, 4501 Boardwalk, Wildwood, NJ. Participants are asked to register online for the race at www.runsignup.com/pinchthegrynch. The Run and Walk require a $30 registration fee or $20 with the donation of a toy at the event. Race route TBA.
The race schedule is as follows:
- 9:00 a.m. – Registration and Bib Pickup Opens
- 9:50 a.m. – Registration and Bib Pickup Closes
- 10:00 a.m. – 5K Run/Walk Starts
- 10:01 a.m. – 1-Mile Walk Starts
- 11:00 a.m. – Awards Ceremony
