A record number of 57 babies from across the region participated in the fun-filled competition
The Wildwoods, NJ – July 28, 2026 – The 2026 annual Wildwoods Loves Waddlers Baby Waddle Contest on July 28, saw tots ages 0-2 race their way to victory during the island’s friendly competition, with a record 57 babies participating in this year’s event, showing off their crawling and waddling skills while vying for the Waddle Winner and Crawl Winner titles.
The event encourages young participants of walking or crawling age to show off their speed-crawling or “waddling” techniques to win fun prizes. The event had two categories – The Crawl and The Waddle. Participants are placed in the center of a colorful 45-foot-diameter circle and encouraged by their parents to crawl or waddle to the edge. The first in each category to crawl or waddle outside of the circle will be declared the winner and receives a family of four pack to Morey’s Amusement Piers and Water Parks.
2026 Waddle Division Winner Collin Dyson, 17 months, is from Springfield, PA; and Crawl Division Winner Nasai Christian, 8 months, hails from Riverside, NJ.
This annual tradition serves as a fun prequel event to the annual Wildwoods Baby Parade taking place on Wednesday, July 29 along the Wildwoods Boardwalk for its historic 116th year.
