Boardwalk:
The East Coast’s most fun and exciting seaside promenade features 38 blocks of sensory overload with three amusement piers boasting more rides and attractions than Disneyland, three incredible water parks, arcades, games, retail shopping and more eateries than the Mall of America. It’s “America’s Boardwalk.”

Beaches:

Rated as New Jersey’s ‘Best,’ the Wildwoods’ beaches are second to none. Featuring the widest, safest, FREE beaches on the East Coast. The beaches are guarded by expert Lifeguards from Memorial Day through Labor Day, 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. daily.

Dog Beaches:
Dogs are allowed on Wildwood and Wildwood Crest beaches from October to May, and on the North Wildwood beach at any time except for when lifeguards are present (9:30am-5:30pm), but are not allowed on the Boardwalk at any time.
Dogs must be on a leash and owner must pick up and dispose of droppings.
A “dog friendly” park and beach is located at Glenwood Ave in Wildwood and clearly marked with a giant fire hydrant sculpture. Hours are from 6 a.m. until dusk.
A dog park is located on the east side of the beach at 24th Avenue in North Wildwood, a permit ($10) is required for your dog and hours are 8 a.m. until dusk.

Historic and Cultural Attractions:

Vietnam Veterans Memorial Wall
Located on the corner of Ocean and Burk Avenues, Wildwood. The only permanent Vietnam Memorial replica in the Northeast is an exact, half-size, black granite replica of the official Vietnam Veterans Memorial in Washington, D.C.

Veterans Monument
Located at Spruce and New York Avenues, North Wildwood. Visitors can honor those who have fallen in the line of duty and pray for those who are currently fighting overseas.

Bobby Rydell
Rydell was selected to honor the Wildwoods, NJ anthem – “Wildwood Days” – whose song’s catchy beat and happy-go-lucky lyrics where ‘every day is a holiday, and every night is Saturday night’ have helped to describe what makes the Wildwoods a favorite seaside vacation destination to over nine million visitors each year. The wall is located at Roberts Avenue and the beach in Wildwood.

Bill Haley & the Comets
This band was selected to commemorate the 60th anniversary of their hit song ‘Rock Around the Clock’ – which was first performed live in the Wildwoods at the HofBrau Hotel in 1954 – just one block from where the commemorative wall is now located at Oak and Pacific Avenues in Wildwood.

Chubby Checker
Checker was selected to commemorate the 55th anniversary of his hit song and dance ‘The Twist’ – which was performed for the very first time live in the Wildwoods at the old 60’s hot-spot, the Rainbow Club – located just a block from where the commemorative wall is now displayed, on the south side of 3707 Pacific Avenue in Wildwood.

BICYCLING:
Cyclists can enjoy a FREE bike route that runs nearly the entire length of the five-mile island, beginning at Rambler Road in Wildwood Crest. The beach side bicycle path then continues north to the start of the World Famous Wildwood Boardwalk at Cresse Avenue, Wildwood where bicycles are permitted until noon. The Boardwalk stretches 1.85 miles north to a connecting ramp between 16th and 15th Avenues in North Wildwood. From there, cyclists can continue along a path parallel to the beach along JFK Blvd. in North Wildwood. A special “bikes only” lane is also dedicated throughout the length of North Wildwood, from 1st to 26th Avenues along Surf Avenue.
