WILDWOOD, N.J. (SEPTEMBER 18, 2026) – Barefoot Country Music Fest (BCMF) has announced 8-time GRAMMY® Award winner and global superstar Carrie Underwood as the first headliner for BCMF 2027, returning to the shores of Wildwood, June 17-20, 2027.
Underwood headlined the inaugural event and returns as BCMF enters its seventh year. Additional headliners and artists will be announced in the coming weeks.
“Carrie helped kick off our very first year of BCMF, and her performance in Wildwood was nothing short of epic,” said Bob Durkin, co-founder of Southern Entertainment. “It’s a night our fans still talk about and one we’ll never forget. We couldn’t be more excited to welcome Carrie back to Barefoot in 2027.”
Underwood is the highest RIAA-certified female country artist of all time, with more than 95 million total RIAA certifications. She has recorded 29 No. 1 singles and earned more than 100 major awards, including 8 GRAMMY® Awards, 16 ACM Awards, 25 CMT Music Awards, 17 American Music Awards and 7 CMA Awards. A three-time ACM Entertainer of the Year, Underwood is the only woman to win the honor three times. All 10 of her albums have debuted in the Top 10 of the Billboard 200, and she has been a member of the Grand Ole Opry since 2008. Her career also includes a record-setting Las Vegas residency, 14 consecutive seasons performing the show open for NBC’s “Sunday Night Football” and two seasons as a judge on ABC’s “American Idol,” the competition she won in 2005.
BCMF has quickly grown from a breakout beach fest into one of the nation’s fastest-growing destination music events, earning national recognition from outlets including USA Today, Billboard and Rolling Stone.
