WILDWOOD, NJ – The City of Wildwood is celebrating 250 years of good old fashion American fun this 4th of July! The City has an action packed weekend of free family fun for all to enjoy. Our free community events include live music, fireworks, and a drone show as a 4-day tribute to the red, white, and blue.
Friday, July 3 Wildwoods Friday Night Fireworks
Enjoy a 10 minute display this Friday and every Friday during the summer for our Friday Night Fireworks. Fireworks launch from the beach at Pine Avenue and broadcast live over 98.7 The Coast starting at 10:00 p.m. The rain date for Friday Night fireworks is Sunday, July 5th.
Saturday, July 4 – Jump City Jazz Orchestra: Song Book of America
Join the Jump City Jazz Orchestra for a unique and patriotic two-hour free concert at Fox Park from 8:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. This free outdoor event blends the swinging sounds of America’s big band era with an engaging narrated journey through the American Revolution, brought to life by musical underscoring from the orchestra’s 24-piece ensemble.
The Independence Day Fireworks Spectacular starts at 10:00 p.m. following the Jump City Jazz Orchestra. Our patriotic pyrotechnics showcase at Pine Avenue will be accompanied by patriot music played from the Boardwalk Sound System and simulcast on 106.3. The rain date for fireworks is Sunday, July 5th.
Sunday, July 5 – Patriotic Drone Show
Honoring our history with a modern flair as we host our Patriotic Drone show at Maple Avenue and the beach. See a dynamic lightshow up in the sky beginning at 10:00 p.m. Music will be live broadcasted on the Boardwalk Sound System and simulcast on 98.7 The Coast.
Monday, July 6 – The 78th Army Band
The 78th Army Band, headquartered at Fort Dix, New Jersey and Fort Totten, New York, is composed of elite soldier-musicians from across the tri-state area. As part of the Army’s outreach mission, the band will bring three of its renowned musical ensembles to Wildwood: Checkmate (rock/pop), 9X9 (punk rock), and Liberty Vibes (Latin fusion).
Each group will perform a 30–45 minute set, culminating in a high-energy, family-friendly musical salute to the men and women who serve our country. This is a once in a lifetime show to celebrate the big 2-5-0! Bring your family and a couple of chairs to Fox Park beginning at 7:30 p.m.
In addition to these events, we have our Sunday Night Concert Series in Fox Park on Sunday, July 5 at 7:30pm featuring The Blue Magic Review. The Saturday morning Farmers Market at Byrne Plaza and Boardwalk Crafts Show from Friday-Sunday south of the Wildwoods Convention Center on the boardwalk.
