Hereford Inlet Lighthouse 150th Birthday Celebration – FREE
Hereford Inlet Lighthouse, 1st & Central Avenues, North Wildwood. Sponsored by the City of North Wildwood. The ceremony begins at noon with a flag-raising, presentation about the history of the Lighthouse, and guest speakers from the public and private sectors. A magician and balloon twister will be onsite from 1 p.m. – 3 p.m. providing fun and entertainment. Don’t miss birthday cake, hot dogs, and live music by “The Sea Dogs”! More activities will take place inside the Lighthouse including a presentation about Augustin Fresnel, the inventor of the famous Fresnel lens, and tours of the Lantern Room (depending upon USCG availability)!
