Greater Wildwood Chamber of Commerce Names Alan I. Gould 2026 Man of the Year

Wildwood, NJ – August 25, 2026 – The Greater Wildwood Chamber of Commerce is proud to announce that Alan I. Gould, Esq. has been selected as the 2026 Man of the Year, an honor recognizing an individual whose outstanding character, integrity, leadership, and commitment to the community exemplify the very best of the Wildwoods.

Gould will be formally honored at the Greater Wildwood Chamber of Commerce Annual Installation Dinner and Meeting on Thursday, September 24, 2026, at Urie’s Waterfront Restaurant.

“Alan Gould is an incredibly deserving recipient of this honor,” said Tracey Boyle-DuFault, Executive Director of the Greater Wildwood Chamber of Commerce. “His character, integrity, knowledge, and lifelong commitment to the Wildwoods and Cape May County have made a lasting impact on our business community and the people he serves. Alan has consistently been someone others can turn to for thoughtful guidance, sound judgment, and leadership. We are proud to recognize him as our 2026 Man of the Year.”

A Lifetime of Community Service

Alan I. Gould has been a prominent member of the Wildwood community for decades. An attorney with Alan I. Gould, P.C. in Wildwood, he has practiced law in New Jersey since 1966. Throughout his distinguished legal career, Gould has also devoted countless hours to civic, educational, religious, and community organizations.

Gould’s commitment to the community extends far beyond his professional career. His record of service includes longstanding leadership within Temple Beth Judah in Wildwood, where he served previously as President. His service to the congregation reflects his commitment to his faith, his community, and the importance of giving back.

Gould has also dedicated significant time to education and public service. He serves as an elected member and leader of the Cape May County Technical School District Board of Education, including presently serving as Board President. In this role, he has helped provide leadership and advocacy for educational opportunities for students throughout Cape May County.

His commitment to the Wildwoods also includes his longstanding service to the Wildwoods Downtown Improvement District (DID). Gould has served as an elected Board member of the Wildwoods Downtown Improvement District since the organization’s inception, helping provide leadership and support for the continued improvement, promotion, and economic vitality of the Wildwoods’ downtown business district.

Additionally, he found time to serve as President of the Cape May County Bar Association, Trustee of the New Jersey State Bar Association, President of the Judicial and Prosecutorial Appointments Committee Appointed by the State Bar Association which considers each applicant to the judiciary and Prosecutors positions reporting directly to the Governor’s office, Supreme Court Advisory Committee on Ethic and received the Medal of Honor from the New
Jersey State Bar Foundation.

A Legacy of Education Through the GWCOC Foundation

Mr. Gould works with the Greater Wildwood Chamber of Commerce, where Gould played an instrumental role in the creation of the Greater Wildwood Chamber of Commerce Foundation more than 25 years ago. Since its inception, Gould has served as President of the GWCOC Foundation, providing more than two decades of leadership to an organization dedicated to creating educational opportunities for the Wildwoods community and providing
scholarships to local students.

Under Gould’s leadership, the GWCOC Foundation has awarded more than $300,000 in scholarship funds to deserving local students. These scholarships help young people pursue higher education, technical training, and career opportunities while reinforcing the Foundation’s commitment to investing in the future of the Wildwoods community.

“Alan’s impact on our community cannot be measured simply by the number of meetings he has attended or the organizations he has served,” said Lori Roach, Secretary of the Greater Wildwood Chamber of Commerce Foundation “Through the GWCOC Foundation, Alan has helped change the lives of young people. For more than 25 years, he has been there to make sure that students in our community have opportunities to pursue their dreams. To have helped award more than $300,000 in scholarships is an incredible accomplishment, but what makes it even more meaningful is the personal commitment Alan brings to every student and every scholarship recipient. He truly believes that investing in education is investing in the future of our community.”

Gould’s leadership of the Foundation has created a lasting legacy that will continue well beyond his years of service. His dedication to education demonstrates his belief that a strong community is built by providing young people with the tools, resources, and opportunities they need to succeed.

A Longstanding Commitment to the Greater Wildwood Chamber

Gould’s involvement with the Greater Wildwood Chamber of Commerce is equally longstanding. He currently serves as Legal Counsel on the Chamber’s Executive Committee and has provided the organization with invaluable legal expertise, guidance, and institutional knowledge. His willingness to share his knowledge and experience has been an important asset to the Chamber and its leadership.

Gould’s dedication to the Wildwoods is also a family tradition. His wife, Joyce Gould, is a longtime community leader and former Wildwood Crest Mayor and Commissioner. Together, Alan and Joyce have spent decades contributing their time, leadership, and resources to organizations and causes throughout the community.

The selection of Gould as the 2026 Greater Wildwood Chamber of Commerce Man of the Year recognizes not only his professional accomplishments, but also the countless hours he has dedicated to making the Wildwoods and Cape May County a better place to live, work, learn, and visit.

Annual Installation Dinner

The Greater Wildwood Chamber of Commerce will honor Alan I. Gould at its Annual Installation Dinner and Meeting on Thursday, September 24, 2026, at Urie’s Waterfront Restaurant.

The evening will celebrate Gould’s accomplishments and community service while also recognizing the Chamber’s incoming leadership and celebrating another successful year of serving the Greater Wildwood business community.
