The Wildwoods, NJ – July 23, 2025  The iconic Harlem Globetrotters® return to the Oceanfront Arena at the Wildwoods Convention Center for unforgettable nights of basketball magic this week through Friday, July 25, with games tipping off nightly at 7:00 p.m.

SPECIAL CELEBRATION: 100-Years-Young Geraldine “Marge” Brooks will cheer on her great-grandson Washington Generals’ Jamani Spencer

Thursday night’s game on July 24 will be extra special, as the Globetrotters help celebrate a century of life and legacy with Moorestown, NJ’s Geraldine “Marge” Brooks, who recently turned 100 years old.

Marge will be cheering on her great-grandson, Jamani Spencer, as he takes the court as a member of the Washington Generals. Jamani is an accomplished athlete, coach, trainer, mentor, and the author of two inspiring children’s books: Mean Big Brother and Lil’ Brown Boy.

Born in Philadelphia on April 6, 1925, Marge grew up watching the Harlem Globetrotters. The Globetrotters became a beloved tradition in her home; one she passed down through generations. “We always had the Globetrotters on. That was our thing,” Marge fondly recalls.

A graduate of John Bartram High School, Marge studied academic Latin and joined the Philadelphia Naval Yard during World War II to support the war effort. She later worked 32 years for SEPTA before retiring in 1990. Since 1962, she has lived in Moorestown, NJ, remaining deeply involved in her community as a member of Second Baptist Church and a longtime election board worker.

Today, Marge is the proud matriarch of a family that includes four children, nine grandchildren, and 13 great-grandchildren. A world traveler and active participant in activities like Aquacise and Rummikub, Marge continues to inspire all those around her.

As the Harlem Globetrotters approach their own 100th anniversary, it’s only fitting that Marge, who grew up admiring them will be in the audience watching her great-grandson take the court, carrying forward a cherished family tradition.

Packed with new challenges and fan participation, the Harlem Globetrotters Experience is bigger, bolder, and more interactive than ever before—complete with a FAN-FILLED Halftime Skills Showcase!
