The Wildwoods, NJ – May 1, 2025 – The Wildwoods are kicking off summer early with a packed schedule of events throughout May! From entertainment, dining, sports, and more, the Wildwoods are gearing up for an exceptional summer. The unofficial start of summer in the Wildwoods is Memorial Day weekend, which is filled with family-friendly events and ceremonies that bring focus to veterans and the reason behind the holiday. May 2– Morey’s Piers Opening Day

Morey’s Piers opening day is May 2. May 3– North Wildwood Gold Star Families Memorial Monument Dedication

The dedication Ceremony for the North Wildwood, New Jersey Gold Star Families Memorial Monument and the Re-Opening of North Wildwood Veterans Memorial Park is set to take place at 11 am on May 3. The ceremony will be held in front of Gold Star Families Monument near the intersection of Anglesea Dr. and Weeks Ave. The Gold Star Families Memorial Monument serves as a tribute to all Gold Star Families and Relatives across the country, including North Wildwood and New Jersey, who sacrificed a Loved One for Our Freedom. All are welcome to join alongside Veterans of the North Wildwood VFW Post 5941, City of North Wildwood officials, Gold Star Family members, religious leaders, elected officials, residents, visitors, and many more in the momentous dedication ceremony to the courageous families of the fallen. May 9-10– Spring Wildwood Kustom Hot Rod & Muscle Car Show

Rev your engines and cruise into spring with the Spring Wildwood Kustom Hot Rod & Muscle Car Show on the iconic Wildwoods Boardwalk on May 9 & 10. All makes and models, 15 years old and older will be on display from 10 a.m. – 3 p.m. This spectacular event is a paradise for car enthusiasts, bringing together a dazzling collection of neat hot rods, roaring muscle cars, and stunning custom rides, all set against the unique backdrop of the beach and boardwalk. May 10– Wildwoods Spring Fling Festival

Get ready to immerse yourself in the vibrant atmosphere of downtown Wildwood at the Wildwoods Spring Fling Festival from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. at Byrne Plaza, 3400 Pacific Avenue, on May 10. This free, family-friendly event promises a delightful day filled with live music, delectable food, unique crafts, and a lively beer garden. Music by: Electric Beach Band, 99 Reasons and ICandee. May 10– Spirit Brands Cheerleading “North American Spirit” Tournament

Spirit Brands is taking the Wildwoods Convention Center by storm for the Spirit Brands “North American Spirit” Tournament from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. (times subject to change) on May 10. Experience high-energy performances choreographed to music and sound effects as talented cheer teams compete for top prizes. May 14– Wildwoods Restaurant Showcase

Enjoy a sampling of mouth-watering dishes and decadent desserts from dozens of the Wildwoods’ finest restaurants and specialty shops from 5-8 p.m. on May 14 at Blue Water Grille at Bolero Resort & Conference Center (3320 Atlantic Avenue, Wildwood). All proceeds benefit the Greater Wildwood Chamber of Commerce Foundation and scholarships for area high school students. An auction of fantastic prizes will be held. May 16-17– Stampede Rodeo & Bulls on the Beach

The Stampede Rodeo, including the world’s most dangerous sport– “Bull Riding” thunders on to the Wildwoods beach Friday, May 16 and Saturday, May 17. The weekend consists of two shows – one each evening at 7 p.m. on the beach at East Baker Avenue in Wildwood, NJ. Admission starts at $25 for adults and $12 for children 12 and younger. Gates open 2.5 hours before each performance and the fun begins with the Western Midway which will include western vendors, food trailers, as well as beer from MudHen Brewery. Kids can come early to participate in Sheep Riding & Stick horse racing at 6:30 p.m.

During the performances, each showtime the event will feature girls’ barrel racing, trick riding, break-a-way, Spectator Bull Hockey, and of course, Bull Riding! This event is sanctioned by SEBRA. May 17– Spring Swing Pickleball Classic

Get ready for an exciting day of pickleball at the 2nd Annual Spring Swing Pickleball Classic, hosted by The Priscilla E. Frederick Foundation! May 23– Flags of Liberty Ceremony

Over 100 families and hundreds of supporters will gather at the Vietnam Veterans Memorial Wall and Wildwoods Convention Center to honor their deceased Veteran heroes by unfurling their deceased loved one’s casket flags at the annual Flags of Liberty event on Friday, May 23 at 10 a.m. Participant check-in begins at 9 a.m., after which, before moving to the nearby Wildwoods Boardwalk where participants will honor their heroes by holding up a chain of unfurled American flags in remembrance. May 23-26– Wildwoods International Kite Festival

On the beach at Rio Grande Avenue, Wildwood and inside the Wildwoods Convention Center. Celebrating 39 years in 2025! Event begins on Friday at noon outside of the Wildwoods Convention Center. Festivities following include opening of the Kite Sales Tent, Friday Night Social via the local kite club and the 9:00 p.m. Illuminated Night Kite Fly. Saturday includes the Silent and Loud Auctions (open to all); and Saturday and Sunday include the flying of large inflatable kites, team flying, as well as family games. May 24– Downtown Wildwood Farmers Market Season Kick-Off

The Downtown Wildwood Farmers Market is THE place to be on Saturday mornings from Memorial Day Weekend to Labor Day Weekend 2025.The Farmers Market is held from 8 a.m. – 12:30 p.m., at 3400 Pacific Avenue, in Byrne Plaza, and across the street at 3501 Pacific Avenue. With over 70 vendors set up each week, visitors can always find something new! Shop for fresh produce, like jersey tomatoes & corn, or have the best freshly baked items to eat while you stroll the market and take some home for dessert! May 26– North Wildwood Memorial Day Ceremony

May 31 & June 1– Anglesea Open Pickleball Tournament

The 3rd Annual Anglesea Open Pickleball Tournament returns to the Wildwoods at Allen Park, 2200 Delaware Ave., North Wildwood, on May 31 & June 1. Sponsored by the Anglesea Irish Society, the tournament offers mixed, men’s, and women’s doubles competitions for skill levels ranging from 2.5 to 4.0+, catering to participants aged 19 and above, as well as a 50+ category. The event follows a round-robin format with playoffs, ensuring each team plays a minimum of four games. Early bird registration is available, with tournament t-shirts provided to participants who register by a specified date. Proceeds from the tournament support the charitable initiatives of the Anglesea Irish Society.
