The Wildwoods, NJ – August 27, 2025 – Start your engines Volkswagen owners and enthusiasts! The Roots Classic 4 Volkswagen Car Show returns to the Wildwoods September 5-7, 2025. This family-friendly event is a full weekend dedicated to the grassroots of the Volkswagen community.
Enjoy three full days of friends, community, and pre-2000 Volkswagens. Meetups will be held throughout the weekend at varying locations in and nearby the Wildwoods, all leading up to the main event – a finely curated indoor car show highlighting pre-2000 water-cooled and air-cooled Volkswagens that have been pre-selected. Peruse a handpicked lineup of community-driven brands and vendors focused on pre-2000 designs.
Whether a deep-rooted enthusiast, a die-hard purist, or just chasing good vibes, this is a can’t miss event.

Friday, September 5
12 – 3 p.m. – Autokrieg – Dub n Grub Barbecue at the Cape May County Park & Zoo, located at 707 Rt. 9 Cape May Courthouse.
7:30 p.m. – Roots 4 Opener GTG at location TBD.
Saturday, September 6
9 a.m. – Roots Official Aircooled GTG at location TBD.
10 a.m. – Official MK1 GTG presented by MK1MADNESS x DCI will be held at the North Wildwood Skate Park, 2307 Delaware Avenue, in North Wildwood.
11 a.m. – Official Corrado / Scirocco GTG at location TBD.
12 p.m. – Official MK2 GTG presented by MK2 MAYDAY will be held at the Car Wash located at 4600 New Jersey Avenue, in Wildwood.
3 p.m.- 5 p.m. – Roots Official East Coast MK3 GTG will be held at the Car Wash located at 4600 New Jersey Avenue in Wildwood.
8 p.m. – Roots Preshow Party will be held at Hatillo’s, 4200 New Jersey Avenue in Wildwood.
Sunday, September 7
10 a.m. – A post-2000 and pre-2000 judged exhibition of winners and vendors will be displayed outside the Wildwoods Convention Center.
11 a.m. – Spectators can view pre-2000 Volkswagen cars inside the Wildwoods Convention Center and shop for VW merchandise and accessories from vendors. The admission fee for adults is $20, and admission is free for children under 9.
