The FREE Wildwoods Airshow Returns for 2026, Alongside a Weekend of Affordable Family-Friendly Events

The Wildwoods, NJ – August 05, 2026 – As the Wildwoods Airshow returns to the award-winning Wildwoods Beaches for another year of awe-inspiring aerial feats on September 12-13, the Wildwoods are offering a weekend packed with FREE and affordable family-friendly, fun activities.

The Wildwoods Air Show is a flagship event for the Wildwoods, bringing hundreds of thousands of spectators, talented aerial performers, military Jet teams, sponsors, and the local community together for an unforgettable weekend filled with thrilling performances and family-friendly events. This year’s headliners include the U.S. Air Force F-22 Raptor Demo Team, 177th Fighter Wing, New Jersey Air National Guard, MiG-17s, The Jersey Jerks, Patrick McAlee, David Mindmiller, RJ Gritter, and more.

When the Airshow flies into town, spectators can enjoy the show across the entire island with the beach and boardwalk areas showcasing optimal viewing areas. The center of the event takes place above the ocean between Morey’s Mariner’s Pier and Adventure Pier on the Spicer Avenue Beach, and while premium seating options are available, the Airshow is FREE and available to watch across the entire island. Throughout the weekend, the Wildwoods’ schedule of events is packed with free and affordable events for visitors to enjoy, no matter the budget.

The Wildwoods’ five-mile island has appealed to vacationing families for more than a century. One of the reasons families choose the Wildwoods is for the island’s expansive clean, safe beaches with plenty of room to spread out. The Wildwoods beaches remain FREE for all visitors, removing the hassle of purchasing expensive beach tags each season. Earlier this year, the Wildwoods’ beaches were voted the #1 Best Beach in New Jersey in USA Today’s 10Best Readers’ Choice Awards for the third year in a row, and the Wildwoods Boardwalk was named the #1 Best Boardwalk in the United States for a second year in a row in the same contest, offering families a free, memorable vacation destination that doesn’t sacrifice on affordability or quality.

In addition to the Wildwoods’ award-winning beaches and boardwalk, The Wildwoods also offer the largest collection of mid-20th century architecture in the country. This iconic style is known as ‘Doo Wop Architecture.’ Brimming with cool artifacts, fun memories, fascinating history and bright neon lights, a Doo Wop Experience Museum and Neon Sign Garden is a celebration of architecture, design, music, pop culture and everything else that made Wildwood famous in its heyday of the 1950s and 1960s. Admission is FREE, with donations accepted.

Rounding out a trip to the Wildwoods with events, attractions, and the beaches and boardwalk can complement the already thrilling experience of the Airshow, while remaining budget friendly. Below is a list of the events taking place throughout the Wildwoods during the weekend of the Airshow:
