The Wildwoods, NJ – August 22, 2025 – The ‘Thunder Over the Waves’ Airshow, produced by David Schultz Airshows and presented by the Greater Wildwoods Tourism Improvement and Development Authority (GWTIDA) on September 5 & 6, launches the resort’s high octane fall events schedule.
The ‘Thunder Over the Waves’ Airshow features impressive aircraft and aerobatic performances ranging from custom built planes to military aircraft to highly skilled aerialists to parachuters. The Airshow is comprised of nearly a dozen headliners, all of which plan to show off their unique hardware and skillsets to hundreds of thousands of onlookers.
The Airshow celebrates the start of ‘The Wildwoods Second Season’, the vibrant months following summer that are packed with exciting events, less summer crowds, lower hotel rates, mild temperatures, beautiful beach days, and great dining options. Locally known as the ‘Second Season,’ autumn in the Wildwoods picks up right where the summer leaves off with thrilling events, holiday celebrations, and mild temperatures. All without the peak-season crowds. The beach and boardwalk continue to offer the iconic fun the Wildwoods are known for long after Labor Day.
“The Airshow is going to be an unforgettable event,” said Louis M. Belasco, GWTIDA Executive Director, “We’re ready to give spectators a truly memorable experience in the sky and invite them to enjoy everything our resort has to offer this fall.”
The Wildwoods fall schedule of events is jam-packed and includes Boots on the Beach Country Music Festival and the “Monsters on the Beach” Monster Truck Races in September, The Race of Gentlemen in October, and countless holiday events, craft shows, parades, festivals, sporting events, and more during the fall and winter months.
