The Wildwoods Announce Official Lineup for Thunder Over the Waves Airshow September 5 & 6

15 Headlining Acts Prepare to Amaze with Showstopping Feats of Aerobatics and Flying Precision During the 3+ Hour Show Lineup

The Wildwoods, NJ – August 27, 2025 ­– Anticipation is soaring as The Greater Wildwoods Tourism Improvement and Development Authority (GWTIDA) presents the ‘Thunder Over the Waves Airshow’, produced by David Schultz Airshows. The spectacular event will take to the skies over the Wildwoods beaches on Friday, September 5 (practice day) and Saturday, September 6 (main event), featuring more than a dozen aerial acts.

With the official lineup in place, spectators can expect an unforgettable weekend of aerobatics and precision flying. From military parachute teams and high-speed jets to vintage propeller planes, the show promises nonstop excitement. 

Thunder Over the Waves Airshow Schedule

Spectators can witness the incredible performers from the Boardwalk or the beach with show center at Spicer Avenue. The Airshow will be simulcast LIVE on radio station 98.7 The Coast (WCZT) – and streamed by downloading the 98.7 The Coast FREE App to listen LIVE!

Alongside the Airshow, the Wildwoods will still be offering all the attractions that bring families back to the islands each year, including the FREE white sandy beaches, the pure sensory overload of the Wildwoods Boardwalk, events and festivals, in addition to museums, wineries and breweries, unique dining options, outdoor activities, and a host of hidden gems across the five-mile island.

VIP Viewing Options

While the Airshow is free to attend, there is still limited availability for prime VIP viewing areas available for purchase. For the ultimate in viewing comfort there are exclusive Airshow Chalets available, with the best view of the action. The Chalets are 20’ x 30’ high ceiling tents with tables and chairs, unlimited soda, water and ice and 60 viewing chairs outside the tent at show center. Food and Music Festival Keeps the Celebration Going After the Airshow

After the excitement of the Airshow, visitors are welcome to join the unofficial afterparty, The Wildwoods Food and Music Festival at Byrne Plaza in Downtown Wildwood from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. The Food and Music Festival will feature food vendors serving up delectable food, sweets, classic boardwalk eats and more, in addition to craft vendors, a beer garden, and live bands providing excitement following the epic performances at the Airshow.
