Babies aged 24 months and younger from across the region participated in this fun-filled tradition showcasing their crawling and waddling skills.
The Wildwoods, NJ – July 29, 2025 – The 2025 annual Wildwoods Loves Waddlers Baby Waddle Contest on July 29, saw tots ages 0-2 race their way to victory during the island’s friendly competition. Tots aged 24 months and younger showed up to show off their crawling and waddling skills vying the titles of Crawl Winner and Waddle Winner.
The event had two categories – The Crawl and The Waddle. Participants were placed in the center of a colorful, 45-foot-diameter circle and encouraged by their parents to crawl or waddle to the edge. The first in each category to crawl or waddle outside of the circle was declared the winner and received a family of four pack to Morey’s Amusement Piers and Water Parks.
The winners were Waddle Winner Akira Carter, 21 months, from Vineland, NJ; and Crawl Winner Arely Joyce Penugonda, 10 months, from Philadelphia, PA.
This annual tradition serves a fun prequel event to the annual Wildwoods Baby Parade taking place on Wednesday, July 30 along the Wildwoods Boardwalk for its historic 115th year.
