The Wildwoods, NJ – July 16, 2024 – The Wildwoods Convention Center is host to scores of annual signature events, conventions, meetings, banquets, concerts, youth sports tournaments, and much more.
The Greater Wildwoods Tourism Improvement and Development Authority (GWTIDA) operates the Wildwoods Convention Center on behalf of the New Jersey Sports and Exposition Authority, the building’s owners, and acts as the island’s destination marketing organization overseeing the development, research, planning, marketing, advertising, promotion, public and media relations encompassing the tourism, meeting, and convention industry in the Wildwoods.
More than 160 events, meetings, conventions, sports competitions, trade, and consumer shows take place year-round at the Wildwoods Convention Center, attracting hundreds of thousands of visitors to the state and the destination, generating over 134,400 sleeping room nights, over one-million dining opportunities, and providing an overall yearly economic impact of over $50 million. GWTIDA’s primary mission is to promote these events and the Wildwoods as a year-round destination. GWTIDA’S staff and all-volunteer board have spent many years and thousands of hours developing strategies and creating and funding events to benefit the region’s economic vitality. This has led to a stronger and more competitive economy with an extension of the season well into the autumn and winter months, providing more jobs and increased economic impact to the island’s businesses.

The Wildwoods Convention Center is located directly on the Wildwoods FREE and spacious white sand beaches adjacent to the world-famous Wildwoods Boardwalk – offering the unique opportunity between meetings, trade shows, sporting, and other events for visitors to take in the breathtaking scenic views. The award-winning beaches lend to a very unique and memorable setting for any meeting or event. When looking east, there is an unobstructed view of the Atlantic Ocean. Looking out north or south, there are views of the beach and the excitement of the Wildwoods Boardwalk.

The Wildwoods Convention Center has also received numerous awards and accolades over the years. The Convention Center is the recipient of two Prime Site Awards by Facilities & Destinations Magazine; as well as a Champions of Economic Impact in Sports Tourism by Sports Destination Management Magazine. Additional accolades and awards include ‘Best Indoor Venue’ by Sports Destination Management Magazine and top Sports Venue in SportsEvents Magazine’s Readers’ Choice Awards.
