The Battle of Turtle Gut Inlet — a little-known but authentically documented naval encounter during the Revolutionary War — took place on June 29, 1776. It was the site of the only battle of the American Revolution fought in Cape May County.

Offering a variety of activities such as youth and adult sports programs, senior programs, two and five-mile runs, gymnastics, dance, Tai Chi, and aerobics classes, youth and adult basketball leagues, toddler programs, tot soccer, grade school dances, and a well-renowned summer day camp and basketball leagues.

This park has a full service playground for children ages 3 – 10, as well as two state-of-the-art full court basketball areas and a public bathroom. Parking is available. The park is open from 8 a.m. – 10 p.m.

25y, 6 lanes, 78-83°F. Admission fee. This indoor pool facility offers open and lap swimming, cardiovascular and adult fitness work out programs. It is also the home of the Wildwood Crest Dolphin swim team and a senior citizen swimming program. We can also accommodate special events such as parties and other water related activities.

Waterfront park overlooking Sunset Lake. Also a kayak launch facility. The park is dedicated in memory of George Coleman and Michael Callahan, members of the United States Marine Corps who were killed in the line of duty in separate incidents during the Vietnam War. Both men were raised on Rosemary Road in Wildwood Crest.
