The Wildwoods Thunder Over the Waves Airshow returns this September for two days of non-stop aerial action above the oceanfront. Look to the skies for jaw-dropping stunts, military flyovers, and precision parachute teams that you can see right from the beach and boardwalk. Get ready for non-stop action and entertainment all day long.

The Wildwoods Air Show will be held on September 5-6, 2025, and can be viewed from the beach or the boardwalk from 22nd Street to Andrews Avenue, with Show Center at the Spicer Avenue beach.

David Schultz Airshows presents the Wildwoods Thunder Over The Waves Airshow. Friday is the practice day, and Saturday from 11:30am-4pm is the main event. The schedule can be found below:

Admission

 The airshow is free to attend, but there are special VIP tickets available that surround the “drop zone.” Those tickets can be purchased here

VIP Beach Chalets

Looking for a space to host a group for Saturday’s show? Chalets are available at Show Center, right by the parachute drop zone, offering an unbeatable view for large groups. Each chalet includes a private beach area, a 20×20-foot shaded tent, tables, chairs, and refreshments with water, soda, and ice provided. Pricing is $4,500 per chalet, which covers seating for sixty guests. For reservations, email [email protected].

Performer Highlights

Catch thrilling demonstrations from the U.S. Army Golden Knights, Coast Guard Air Station Atlantic City, and top civilian pilots, including Greg “Wired” Colyer in the T-33 Shooting Star, Jerry Conley in the Vampire Jet, Randy Ball’s high-speed MiG-17, and the precision flying of the Full Throttle Formation Team. Aerobatic pros like Scott Francis, Patrick McAlee, Mark Meredith, and Kevin Russo round out the action alongside the Jersey Jerks formation team.

Pilot's Dinner

Kick off the fun on Friday, September 5, at 6pm, for an elegant evening at the Wildwoods Convention Center. Your ticket includes a cocktail hour with hors d’oeuvres, a plated dinner featuring a salad, Filet Oscar, penne primavera, and dessert, all paired with live tunes from the Kenny I Orchestra. Tickets are priced at $200 per person and can be purchased here

Parking & Transportation

Street Parking

Free street parking is available throughout the island and along the west side of New Jersey Avenue. Paid metered parking is also available island-wide and is powered exclusively through the Park Mobile app

Beach and Lot Parking

Privately owned lots will be open for the Airshow, with payment methods varying by location. For vehicles with four-wheel drive, paid beach parking is available at Baker Avenue in Wildwood.

Shuttles and Trams

The island-wide Jitney service runs during the Airshow along Ocean Avenue (east side) and New Jersey Avenue (west side) to the Show Center. Fare is $3 per person, per way. Tickets can be pre-purchased via the Jitney Surfer app, or simply flag a jitney down anywhere along the route.

The Wildwoods Sightseer Tram Car runs the boardwalk from 16th Avenue to Cresse Avenue and back. Fare is $5 per person, per way. Flag the tram down anywhere along the route.

Rideshare

The designated pick-up and drop-off point is on Atlantic Avenue between Schellenger and Oak Avenues.
